Delete your account

Last updated 26 August 2026

You can close your account from inside the app, or ask us to close it without installing anything. This page also sets out exactly what gets erased and what we have to keep — because it is not everything.

Deleting from inside the app

If you have the app and can sign in, this is the fastest route.

  • Open the app and sign in with your mobile number.
  • Go to Profile Settings.
  • Choose Delete account and confirm.

It takes effect immediately. You are signed out on every device and cannot sign back in with that number.

If you cannot use the app

You do not need to install anything, and you do not need to be able to sign in. Ask us directly:

  • By phone: {{OWNER: support phone number, and the hours it is answered}}
  • By post: {{OWNER: registered business address for written requests}}
  • Other channels: {{OWNER: any additional channel that is actually monitored — email is not currently working and must not be listed until it is}}

Tell us

  • The mobile number your account is registered to.
  • That you are asking for the account to be deleted.

We will confirm it is your number before we delete anything — usually by sending a code to it. That check exists to stop somebody else closing your account.

We will act on your request within {{OWNER: response time you commit to for deletion requests}}.

What is erased

Everything below is removed from your account record and cannot be recovered afterwards:

  • Your name, your email address, and your profile photo.
  • Your mobile number is replaced with a placeholder, so the number is no longer stored against the account and can no longer be used to sign in.
  • Your area, favourite sport and skill level.
  • Business name and tax registration number, where you had them.
  • Your saved payment methods.
  • Your saved addresses.
  • Your favourites.
  • Your notification settings and your registered devices, including push tokens.
  • Your sign-in sessions on every device, and any two-factor setup and recovery codes.
  • Your account password, where one was set.
  • Your venue memberships, where you held any.

Your profile photo is deleted from our file storage as well as from the account record.

What is kept, and why

Deleting your account does not delete your bookings, payments or reviews.

These records are not only yours. A booking is also the venue’s record of who used their court and a payment is part of their accounts, which they and we are required to be able to produce. Erasing them on request would remove a business’s books without its knowledge.

What stays, after your account details are stripped out:

  • Bookings and check-in records, as the venue’s record of its own trading.
  • Payments and refunds, which are financial records with their own retention rules — see the Privacy Policy.
  • Reviews you published, which stay visible to other customers.
  • Messages you sent to a venue, which remain in that venue’s conversation history.
  • A note that a deletion happened, so we can show it was carried out. It records the account, not the person: no name, no number, no email.

These records survive with your personal details removed from the account they point at. If you want a review taken down as well, ask us before you delete the account — afterwards we can no longer confirm it was yours.

Bookings you have already paid for

Closing your account does not cancel or refund a booking, and it does not get you out of one. A paid booking is final either way — see the Refund Policy.

If you have a booking still to play, use it or let it lapse before deleting, because you will not be able to sign in to show the QR code afterwards.

Venue and staff accounts are different

If your account manages a venue, you cannot delete it from the app and the option will refuse. This is deliberate rather than an oversight: venue ownership is one of the records a deletion clears, so deleting yourself would silently strip the owner off every venue you run, with nothing to put it back.

Venue and administrator accounts are closed by a person. Contact us using the details on the contact page and we will arrange it once the venue has somewhere to go.

How long it takes, and undoing it

Deletion through the app is immediate. A request made by phone or post is carried out once we have confirmed it is your number.

It cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no restore — once the details are stripped they are gone, and we cannot tell later that an anonymised account was yours.

You are welcome to sign up again afterwards, with the same number or a different one. It will be a new account with nothing carried over.
